November 13th, 2008 I think the main reason I still listen to the Smash­ing Pump­kins is just because I feel like I have always been lis­ten­ing to them, so why give it up now I’ve prob­a­bly been lis­ten­ing to them since I was in the 5th or 6th grade. At this point, almost every song reminds me of some part of grow­ing up. When­ever any of their 200 or so songs come on, I can vividly pic­ture myself at some point of my life — middle or high school, South­ern Poly, Athens, Florida, Atlanta, wherever. I def­i­nitely still like their music, but I think it’s more a nos­tal­gia thing.
