The Dark Sky API is the biggest loss in my opinion. So many apps are depdendent on this in their apps and I worry there isn’t a solid, accurate and privacy-focused weather service out there. So many weather apps and services are fronts for your location data these days, and I hate to see the leader shut down a lot of their offerings over the next year.

I’ll be interested to see what Apple does with the Dark Sky IP and their team over the next few years. I’d imagine this is part of a push for a more robust Siri. Or at least that’s my hope.
