February 6th, 2008 If you’re like me, you are 28, live in Atlanta, and you’re a Barack Obama supporter. But you’re looking for ways to get involved in his campaign now that he’s won Georgia. There are a couple of ways to quickly make a difference in his campaign, and the two combined take very little time.
First of all, you can donate to Obama’s campaign. The Clintons recently loaned themselves $5 million dollars to help fund their campaign, and the to keep this race going, Sen. Obama needs everyone’s help to continue raising money at a record pace. As of the time of this writing, we have raised $5.121 million since last night alone.
This will help offset Hillary and give Obama further momentum heading into the primary states this weekend and beyond. Even if it’s only $25, it helps fund one of the most amazing, diverse grassroots fundraising efforts we have ever seen. The second thing that you can do is spend a half hour of your time in a phone bank for Senator Obama’s campaign.
Simply log in (or create an account) and you are presented with a list of prospective voters in an upcoming primary state. You simply call the person, ask them a few simple questions, and hopefully you will talk to a fair number of Obama supporters that you can encourage to vote or caucus in their upcoming event. This if your chance to make a difference in his campaign in a small, but very significant way.
I hope some of you join me in helping! And I promise I’ll tone down the political stuff soon. Daniel Andrews says: February 12th, 2008 at 6: 55 pm Another way is taking part in today’s Money Bomb to celebrate Lincoln’s birthday.
