A couple of site-related notes… Slow day today. But there’s a few little things I’ve been meaning to mention but haven’t… IE sucks. I re-did my photos section using a program that outputs transparent .png files, not even thinking about the fact that IE doesn’t support true .png transparency.

It didn’t take too long to fix, but still annoying. I hope the IE7 beta due out this summer brings IE up to par with standards… Firefox weirdness. I’m not quite sure WHAT part of my code is causing Firefox 1.0 (and 1.0 only – the latest nightly Camino/Firefox builds are fine) to display the footer of my page across the entire content area of my page.

Fortunately, it’s not important info really. I can just hide that portion of my site till I can come up with a fix. display: none how I love thee.

On a related note, please email me or post a comment if you see any strangeness as I go thru old code and clean things up. Inevitably I will mess something up in the current CSS and it may cause IE weirdness. Comment Spam. MT-Blacklist is doing a great job.

So far, over 400 blocked spam messages, with only 3 or 4 getting thu. Very impressive, and it means I don’t have to close comments after a week or so. I really don’t have much else to say. I can’t wait till this week (and the class I am in) to be over with.

Next month will hopefully be a lot better to me. I can’t do this 5am lab thing any more….
