Coda

I’m probably the last person who is going to write about Coda’s release to actually do it. I think it had to do with the fact that I was lazy/busy at work, and I wanted to let the dust settle a bit before i put my thoughts down. First off, Coda is a web design/development […]

Swing

March 26th, 2007 This article outlines the fairly dramatic shift in political thinking over the past 4 years. It’s pretty wild to see how sharp the decline in Republican allegiance has been since 2002. However, it’s not all that difficult to see why there has been a dropoff – which honestly, I think has gone […]

Spotlight Sound Studio

I don’t think I’ve really mentioned my brother’s studio or his website, so I figured I’d give both a plug now. Jason recently (well, about 3 months ago now) opened up a recording studio in Alpharetta, and it’s a sight to be seen. Granted, I have only seen a few photos of other studios, but […]

Taste the Sad

Any fans of Arrested Development already have heard the bad news: the show’s season 3 order has been cut from 22 episodes to 13 – effectively signaling the end of the show after this shortened season. Arrested Development is easily my favorite TV show right now, and quite possibly my favorite of all time – […]

November Notes News

Let’s see: Work is going really well. I enjoy what I do and who I work with. Sometimes the work is rather mind-numbing, but I have honestly learned a ton already about subtle design nuances and techniques just by being around a number of projects.

Also, having someone with lots of experiencing critiquing my every move helps you pay better attention to detail. As time goes on, I feel I’m going to be focusing more on code (php and actionscript), but I will be doing lots of design too. I can’t believe it’s already been a month there.

I’ve been really busy with freelance work on top of working, which has lead to me being kind of a shut-in lately. I hope that changes, as I only have 1 (2 if you count me working on a skin for a website that’s being put together right now) project coming up. I may press to land something else soon as well though, as xmas is approaching quickly. I went to see Copeland Saturday night @ the Masquerade.

A couple of things I noticed: Copeland’s lead singer (aaron marsh) is one of the best live singers in the business. The guy is amazing. Something about certain shows make me feel old.

I don’t know what the average age of the crowd there was, but I was certainly above the mean. It was still an awesome show. Speaking of concerts, I’m going to see Ben Folds in a week or so, which will be really exciting.

I haven’t seen him play in quite some time now, and he’s very good live … if not one of the best. He puts on an amazing show.

Wowza

…the Death Cab for Cutie show was flat out amazing. I don’t really go to many concerts anymore, but I’m really glad I went to this one. Huge turnout, and they’re one of the ‘tightest’ bands live I’ve seen in quite some time. Getting to the venue and finding parking was the most time consuming […]

I Got Bored

I got bored and changed the colors on the site – nothing major, just something new. I’m about 90 done with the new layout, but this will be something new till then. I guess you could call this version 3.7 or so if you were keeping score at home.

I must say, I moved back to GA at the perfect time – the weather has been great the past month! Fall is in full swing – highs around 60 degrees. I feel bad for the Orlandoians I left behind, as a hurricane is staring them down…. Work is good, so far I really enjoy what I’m doing and I’m learning a lot about the workflow etc that go into professional web work.

That is all.
