Today was a great day for a lot of reasons – but the main cause of my current state of euphoria is the fact that I stumbled across something I had given up on long ago. Today, when cleaning out my closet, I found The Aeroplane Flies High, a wonderful boxed set of music from the Smashing Pumpkins.
May not seem like much, but this was one of my favorite collections of music when I was younger. It was basically B-sides from Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, but was a 5 disc set. I know what’s going to be on my iPod for the next week.
I still am so sad that Billy Corgan’s antics led to the demise of what I think was one of the great rock bands of our generation. Although, I can handle the fact that I have 9 albums (if you count Zwan) from him to show for it.
